Food is a necessity for some people but for most people, eating their favourite food is a pleasure. This article brings to you some of the favourite dishes of a few personalities who are deeply connected with the city.


1. Anushka Sharma


Everyone is aware of Anushka Sharma's adoration for the puffs from her favourite Bengaluru bakery. It seems she is missing her favourite bakery because of it. Anushka Sharma was raised in Bengaluru.


A few months ago, Virat Kohli, in an interview with Danish Sait aka Mr. Nags, spoke about his wife Anushka Sharma and her favourite snack, puffs, from a bakery in Bengaluru. In the video, Virat recalled a sweet incident wherein he walked down to Anushka's favourite bakery without security to buy her some puffs. He said, "I had a mask on, and I had a cap on, and it was the best possible way to experience some normalcy and I promise you nobody noticed me at all, it was such a liberating feeling."


2. Deepika Padukone


Deepika Padukone embraced the vogue Instagram craze and created several Ask Me Anything sessions for her followers. Along with responding to queries from her admirers, the actress had admitted that Shri Krishna Sweets is her favourite Mysore Pak establishment. She also said in a video that her comfort food is home-cooked rasam and rice.

3. Mayank Agarwal


The right-handed top-order Indian international cricketer who also plays for the Karnataka cricket team in domestic cricket began his early days of cricketing in Bishop Cotton Boys School. He said in an interview with ESPNcricinfo that his favourite cheat meal was sizzling brownie with ice-cream and chocolate sauce.


4. Pankaj Advani


The Bangalore based professional snooker player and former World Champion, shared his love for Paneer during an interview with The Hindu, where he said, “People don’t like to eat with me, because I always finish the paneer pieces and leave only the gravy.”


5. Rahul Dravid


Known as The Great Wall of India, the former captain of the Indian Men’s Cricket team is an advocate for healthy homemade foods. But he cannot say no to buttery crabs. While he tries to follow a strict diet, crabs form an essential cheat meal.


6. Rajinikanth


The ‘Thalaivar’ of South India Cinema, and the face of Tamil cinema for the past 40 years was born and brought up in Bangalore. He has reached the pinnacle of success but still has the simplest sweet, 'Paal (Milk) Payasam' as his all-time favourite dish.
